An Old French poem “Lancelot, the Knight of the Cart”, written long time ago by famous poet Chrétien de Troyes, still touches hearts of millions romantic people.

These wonderful decorative Russian Matryoshka Nesting Dolls depict one of the most popular legends about knights – story about Lancelot, "fin’ amours" (i.e. “ideal lover that desperately loves only one woman throughout all his life - Guinevere”).

Kay beseeches her to rise, but she says that she will never do so until he grants her request. Then Kay promises her to remain. On the second Russian Matryoshka Nesting Doll a love scene between the Queen and her beloved Lancelot is featured. The Russian Matryoshka Nesting Dolls’s artist, Titenko did his best to feature masterfully the beauty of two young people: milk-and-roses skin, eyes, full of love, and fresh cherry lips. The dress of the Queen is very delicate but it is not overwhelmed with useless details, both Lancelot and Kay wear bards.
